May Wallace's friends and family be comforted by God's promise to "swallow up death forever, and wipe away every tear from all faces." (Isaiah 25:8) Remembering too the promise of the Resurrection hope for both the Unrighteous and Righteous. (Acts 24:15)

I'm blessed to have visited my Great-Uncle Sonny earlier this summer. I'll never forget the way he hopped right up off the couch and gave me a big hug :) He was elated to see my two young sons, and I will never forget the sparkle and joy beaming in his eyes while in conversation with them. My boys got to feel the magic I remember having as a small child while visiting the farm, and that visit was all I could have hoped for. Rest in peace Sonny. Geoff has been waiting to run the fields with you on your tractor, and those memories will always live on.

This obituary fails to mention Wally's granddaughter (Paula), great-grandchildren (Amber and Cassie), and great-great granddaughter (Emma). My great-grandfather Wally was very proud that he was able to become a great-great grandfather! We all loved him so much and will cherish the many memories we had with him!

Also, my great-grandfather had two grandsons, Richard and Robert Backus (Robert passed away in Sept 2014). His step-daughter, Barbara, who is listed as living passed away 13 years ago.
