Of Unadilla

Wallace E. Ireland, 83, a lifelong resident of Unadilla passed away on Friday July 15, 2016 at Ireland Farms.  He was born on Nov. 21, 1932 in Sidney to Wallace H. & Shirley (Dalton) Ireland.  He married the former, Ruth Davis, in Florida, who predeceased him.  He lived on the family farm for over 25 years and was a retired meat cutter in Florida.  He is survived by his sister, Marguerite Ireland, Vestal, 2 step-daughters, Barbara Lash, Sidney, Rosalie Northrup, Sidney, his nieces and nephew, Karen Ireland Kantor, VA., Valerie McCain, Bainbridge, Nadine Fineout, Missouri, Cheryl Liberty, Bainbridge, Dorene Ireland, Tenn., Ron Ireland, Unadilla and also several cousins.  He was also predeceased by his brother, James H. Ireland and was a member of the Unadilla Rod & Gun Club.

Memorial Services will be held at the Westcott-Madden Funeral Home 123 Main Street Unadilla on Thursday July 28, 2016 at 1 p.m.  Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to:  Unadilla Emergency Squad of Unadilla Fire Dept. 77 Clifton Street Unadilla, NY  13849.  On-line condolences may be made at:   www.wmaddenfh.com.
