Susan H. Taynor Winters

Unadilla, NY– Susan H. Taynor Winters, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away at the age of 69 on Monday, November 24, 2025. Her passing follows a brave and enduring fight with cancer.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on Aug. 24, 1956, Susan made a life out of helping and advocating for people. This genuine nature shined through her work as a Care Manager and as a loving foster parent. She was known for her exceptional warmth and hospitality, always ready to entertain and bring loved ones together. Susan was a vibrant presence in any room, driven by a deep love for music. As a musician for many years, she had a unique ability to connect with people and get a crowd excited. Her love and unforgettable personality are the lasting legacy she leaves with her family and friends.

Susan is survived by her four children: Richard Winters, Preston Winters, Jordana Taynor, Shanna Taynor, and her grandson, Emerson Winters (son of Richard), her sister, Marcia Taynor Estep, brother-in-law, Michael Estep and her dearest friend, Kim Hutchinson, along with many friends, clients and coworkers.
