Loving Mother and Wife
Sally passed peacefully into eternal rest on June 27, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was a wonderful mother and is survived by her husband, of only days short of 60 years, Ferdinand Schambach, and their two children, Steven Schambach and his wife Alison of Branford, CT and Denise Lohnes and her husband Jeffrey of Charlton, MA., 11 Grandchildren, Sydney Cuccaro and her husband Dennis, Dylan Yurgel, Nathan Schambach, Tyler Yurgel, Ethan Schambach, Emma Schambach, Styles Lohnes, Patrick Lohnes, Jayde Lohnes, Colton Lohnes and Aiden Lohnes. And 4 great-grandchildren, Dexter, Adrienne, and Felix Cuccaro and Arianna Yurgel. She was a devoted mother and homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed crocheting, shopping, cooking and spending time at accordion concerts and horse shows with her children. Later in life her greatest joy was time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She took them on so many fun adventures. She loved all of her siblings and enjoyed spending time with them whenever she could. She is recently predeceased by her only brother Sydney (Bud) Gott and on the same day her cousin Peggy Betker also joined her. Sally was predeceased by her parents, numerous aunts and uncles and two great-grandchildren which she’ll have the joy of knowing and loving first.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held at the Unadilla Center United Methodist Church, 1203 Butternut Rd., Unadilla, NY at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023. The family will receive friends at the Unadilla Center United Methodist Church on Sat. from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to service. Online condolences may be made at: www.wmaddenfh.com.
