Russell N. Hanson, 80 of Unadilla died Sun. May 22, 2022 at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, He was born Nov. 1, 1941 in Morris, NY to Arnold & Marian Hanson.  He married the former, Ramona Durham on May 1, 1965 in Hertford, NC.  He was a retired employee of Amphenol Corp. in Sidney.  He was a member of the Sidney American Legion Post 1529 and was a US Army veteran.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ramona, 3 children, Jerry Lee & Irma Hanson, TX, Kim Hanson, Unadilla, Martina & Rick Whitney, Afton, son-in-law, Ed Fairchild, Harpursville, 8 grandchildren, 4 greatgrandchildren, sister, Carol & Jerry Defrense, Schnenevus, brother, Victor & Donna Hanson, Schenevus and also several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by 2 sons, James H. & Russell M. Hanson Jr. and most recently by his daughter, Deborah E. Fairchild.
