Obituary
Rosina York, 93 of Unadilla passed away on Wednesday July 27, 2023 in Cooperstown. She was the beloved daughter of Anthony and Mary Colesanto of Deposit, where her father owned a popular shoe store on Front Street. After graduation from Deposit High School, she worked at the Deposit Courier and for Compton’s Encyclopedia in Binghamton before attending the Albany School of Business. She married her late husband Edward York of Hancock at St. Joseph’s Church in Deposit.
Rosina was active in many church organizations such as the World Apostolate of Fatima, the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception, the Franciscan Mission of Mt. Vernon, NY, the St. Ambrose Rosary Society and especially the Association of Marian Helpers in Stockbridge, MA, where a Mass will be said at the National Shrine of the Divine Mercy, attended by the family.
She is survived by her sons, David, James and his companion, Karin Miller, several nieces and nephews and several cousins in Baselice, Italy. Online condolences may be made at: www.wmaddenfh.com.
