Of Unadilla

Philip C. Baumes, 84 of Unadilla passed away on Mon. March 21, 2016 at Wilson Memorial Hospital.  He was predeceased by his wife, Lois M. Baumes on Apr. 3, 1983.  He was born on June 14, 1931 in Cooperstown, NY to the late Charles R. & Glenidore (Balcom) Baumes.  He is survived by his 3 children and their families, Philip C. (Toby) & Carolyn Baumes, Cottonwood, AZ., Pamela Baumes, Unadilla, Ray Baumes & Sheri Sutton, Unadilla, 2 grandsons, Philip C. Baumes III, Benjamin Baumes, great granddaughters, Esme, Colette and Sabine, great nephew, Johnathan Forte, Unadilla, 3 brothers & sister-in-law, Richard Baumes, Unadilla, Donald Baumes, Unadilla, Stephen (Maggie) Baumes, Tenn., 2 sisters Patricia Jones, Bennetsville, Margaret Sands, FL., and also several nices and nephews.  He was also predeceased by his sister, Glenna Light. 

He was retired US Postmaster from the Laurens Post Office, a retired employee of Bendix Corp., longtime School Bus Driver for Unadilla, member of the Laurens & Unadilla Fire Depts. & Emergency Squads and was an Air Force veteran.
