Unadilla:  Mary E. Van Valkenburg, 72 of Unadilla died Thurs. Dec. 24, 2015 at Robinson Terrace in Stamford.  She was born on March 21, 1943 to Wilford & Marguerite Washburn Sr. in Bainbridge.  She married John Van Valkenburg on June 27, 1964 who predeceased her.  She is survived by a son & daughter-in-law, Ernest & Anita Van Valkenburg, Unadilla, a daughter & son-in-law, Jane & Shawn Fallon, Otego, 6 grandchildren, Michele Scott, Otego, Amanda Scott, Liberty, Lani & Alicia McAdam, Oneonta, Shawn Jr. & Keonne Fallon, Otego, 2 great granddaughters, 4 great grandsons, 2 brothers, Dave Washburn, Wilford Washburn Jr., both of Unadilla and a sister, Louise Hurbert, Laurens.

 

Memorial Services will be held at the Westcott-Madden Funeral Home 123 Main Street Unadilla on Fri. Feb. 19, 2016 at 2 p.m.. Rev. Keith McCurdy will officiate. Burial will be in Sidney Center Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends at the Westcott-Madden Funeral Home on Fri. from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to service.
