MARIAN E. DESALVO

June 25, 1924 - June 14, 2023

OXFORD, NY-Marian E. DeSalvo, 98, of the NYS Veterans Home at Oxford passed away in the loving presence of her family on June 14, 2023.  She was born in Brooklyn, NY and married Richard W. Rammo on June 1, 1947.  He predeceased her in 1962.  She worked at The National Bank in Sidney for several years and later married Louis DeSalvo of Sidney who also predeceased her.  Marian worked as a Secretary for the NYS Division of Veterans Affairs for almost 20 years.

She is survived by her daughters Carol McLane of Sidney, NY,  Denise Blaisure (Eugene), Unadilla, NY, and Lorraine Jones (Robert) of Sidney, granddaughters:  Aimee’ Snead of Eden, NC, Chelsea McLane, Sidney and Karla Whittaker (Matthew) of Littleton, MA, great  grandson :  Logan Snead of Eden, NC, great granddaughters:  Emily Kate McLane, Sidney, Claire Whittaker (11), Stella Whittaker (7) and Elizabeth Whittaker (1), all of Littleton, MA.

A Celebration of Marian’s Life will be held at the Rogers Hollow Friends Church in Unadilla, NY on Sat. July 1, 2023 at 11:30 a.m.  Donations in Marian’s memory may be made to The Delaware Valley Humane Society 101 E.
