John S. “Little John” Eggler, age 67 of Unadilla, New York passed away peacefully at Wilson Memorial Hospital on Friday  July 15th, 2022. John was born at home in Davenport Center, New York on January 14th, 1955.

John is survived by his wife, Lynne Eggler, daughters Lisa and Jamey and their husbands Timothy Corbett and Scott Musser, his grandchildren Zackary and Lyric Corbett, Logan Myers and Payton, Lucas and Maedin Musser and his brother and sister-in-law Jimmy and Cindy Eggler, his brother-in-law Gary and his wife Linda Becht.   John was predeceased by his father James Eggler. 

John grew up in Davenport Center and lived with his aunt and uncle Clarabelle Eggler Powers and John Powers. He attended Charlette Valley Central School. John lived in Davenport Center until 1990 when he purchased his home in Unadilla, New York.

John was a logger for years and then became a handyman at Hartwick College in 1980 and dedicated 24 years to the College, until 2004. He was a member of the Sidney American Legion and the Unadilla Rod and Gun Club. He was a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast and fulfilled his longtime dream of participating in the Legacy Run. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, mowing his property and taking much pride in his home. John loved hunting and his 3 cats Harley, Ms. Davidson, and Jasmine. He found joy in helping others in any way he could. John celebrated life every second of everyday and was always on the move.

John will be cremated and there will be a private family ceremony.  On August 6th, 2022, his family invite everyone who knew and loved John to his home at 12:00pm for a Celebration of Life BBQ.
