John C. Dillenbeck

Of West Oneonta

John C. Dillenbeck, 74 of West Oneonta died unexpectedly on Sun. afternoon May 22, 2016 at A.O. Fox memorial Hospital.  He was born on June 25, 1941 in Binghamton, NY to Harold & Leah (Nichols) Dillenbeck.  He married the former Viola M. (Brown) Butler on March 26, 1964.  He was peredeceased by his wife, Viola, parents, infant sisiter, Pam, brothers Harold & Thomas Dillenbeck.  He is survived by step-son, Howard “Stub” & Debra Butler, Bainbridge, step-daughter, Roxanne E. Richardson, Venice, FL, step-son, James D. Butler, Sidney, sisters, Donna Benning, Oneonta, Pat Torres, Oneonta, Linda & Joseph Fisher, Alexandria Bay, NY, Sharon (Jerry) Hammond, Otego, brother Chuck Dillenbeck, CT, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  He was a retired employee of Amphenol Corp.  He was a US Marine Veteran, member of the Moose Club, and former pilgrim degree and past govenor.

Funeral Services will be held at the Westcott-Madden Funeral Home 123 Main Street Unadilla on Friday at 12:30 p.m.  Burial will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Unadilla.  The family will receive friends at the Westcott-Madden Funeral Home on Fri. from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to service.  On-line condolences may be made at:   www.wmaddenfh.com.
