I read Mr. Banta's obituary in our local paper, The Daily Star (My husband and I are currently residing in Cooperstown, NY.) My sympathies go out to the entire family, although I did not know him. There is a possibility that I taught one of his nephews at West Milford Township H.S. in northern New Jersey. His name is Cory Banta and I seem to recall his Mother's name being Shirley (In the obituary it stated that Mr. Banta was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Shirley Earl Banta.)

If this is indeed, correct, can someone contact Cory to let him know that my thoughts and prayers are with him (and his sister) at this time?

Our deepest sympathy to you. Such a wonderful family. George's Mother was a babysitter to me and my Twin Janet in the 1950's. Working with George for 35 years, I learned of his dedication to the people of Unadilla and his Family. Blessings.
