Of Unadilla

Gary L. Dewey, 67 of Unadilla died Mon. July 28, 2014 at his home.  He was born on June 11, 1947 to Manuel & Beverly (Strain) Dewey.  He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary (Wickham) Dewey, Unadilla, daughter & son-in-law, Ann Marie & Chris Sirtori, Loudonville, son, Gary A. Dewey, & his fiancé, Rebecca Hanzes, Kirkwood,  2 grandchildren, Braddigan & Liliana, a sister & brother-in-law, Teresa & Frank Larson, Sidney, also several nieces, nephews and a special nephew, Scott Wickham, Oregon.  He was predeceased by a sister, Janice Carman and brother, Fayette Dewey.  He was a retired employee of Mirabito after 29 years.  He was a past member of the Franklin Doodle Bugs and Lead Guitarist for “The Cellar Fellers.”

Graveside Services will be held at the Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Unadilla on Tues. Aug. 5, 2014 at 2 p.m.  Rev. Roy Vandermark, Deacon-Vicar of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church will officiate.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Unadilla Fire Dept.
