Ellen was a hard working simple woman. She retired after 40 years of service to Unatego Central School and enjoyed her last days as a stay at home grandmother. Ellen loved her grandchildren and her small family as much as anyone or anything. She enjoyed the simpler things in life such as country music, family dinners and her favorite TV shows. Ellen loved her work mates, they were her extended family and she spoke of them more than often. Ellen loved and cherished her brother, Neil’s daughters, Lacey and Leslie. She often spoke of how she wished she could see them more, but she was beyond proud of them both. Ellen spent her entire life in Unadilla, where she was raised by her mother and father. She settled on Kilkenny Road where she loved flowers, her birds and the serenity of a small country town. Ellen was a stand up and honorable woman who always took care of those she loved.
