Dorothy Marie Harris, 94 of Otego met her Lord and Savior face to face with her family by her side on Friday May 6, 2016 at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta.  She was born on Feb. 20, 1922 in Duanesburg, NY to William & Myra (Bush) Pierce.  She married the Late Edwin Harris and Claude Robert Hamilton, both predeceased her.  She is survived by her family, son, Robert & Arlene Hamilton, Inverness, FL, daughters, Janice & Carl Swanberg, Leesburg, FL, Claudia & William Parker-Giallonardo, Beverly Hills, FL, Terri & Ted Beers, Otego, Molly Hamilton & Peter Carey, Kingston, NY, step-daughter, Francie Lou Emerson, Otego, half brother, Alfred Gardner, Sanford, NC, half sisters, Patricia Rubin, Hartfield, VA, Deloris Maxwell, Freehold, NY.  Several grandchildren,  great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren as well as  several nieces and nephews.  She was also predeceased by a grandson, Robert Hamilton Jr.  She was a retired employee of A.O. Fox Hospital and a member of First Christian Church, Otego.

Funeral Services will be held at the First Christian Church, Otego on Sun. May 15, 2016 at 2:30 p.m.  Pastor William Allen will officiate.  Burial will be in Otego Evergreen Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the First Christian Church,  Otego on Sun. May 15, 2016 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. prior to service.  Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to First Christian Church 704  County Hwy. 6 Otego, NY 13825.
