Donald H. Ingalls,86, of Unadilla passed away Wednesday,August 12,2015 at his residence. He was born July 17, 1929 in Unadilla the son of the late Ralph Waldo Emerson Ingalls and Eithel Mae [Austin} Ingalls. He was a lifelong resident of Unadilla and was a graduate of the Class of 1948 of Unadilla Central School. Don was a past member of the Unadilla Chamber of Commerce and was their 1994 Business of the Year honoree for his business , Ingalls Antique Shop. For many years he and his wife owned and operated a farm stand in Unadilla known as Ingalls Greenhouse and Gardens .Among his businesses he also worked as a Millworker for UNA-LAM formerly known as the Unadilla Silo Company. Don and his wife built their own home cutting trees down and having them milled into logs for their home. Don was known as an outdoorsman and was loved by his family and friends.  He is survived by his wife, Irene Ingalls and 5 children Diane{David} Hughes, ,Corrine{Thomas] Rees, Betsy {Jeff} Shultis, Denise{Larry] Mudge, and Steve{Berna} Ingalls. His grandchildren Kathleen {Kirk} Pratt, Julie Drozdowski and her friend Blake Nuckolls, Heidi [Carmine} Addiego, Jay[Sonia] Shultis, Tara Shultis and her fiance’ Duncan Eidse and Jennifer {Tim] Guinn. Also survived by great-grandchildren Carson ,Caleb and Kelsey Pratt, Alexis Drozdowski, Sun-Ah and Tru Shultis, David Addiego and Bodie Guinn., a brother and sister-in-law Dr. Richard {Carolyn} Ingalls of Afton, his sister Sharon{Philip}Henry of Ballymena, Ireland, and numerous cousins.

Funeral Services will  be held Thursday , August 20, 2015 at 2 pm at the Westcott-Madden Funeral Home, 123 Main St. Unadilla. Calling hours will be  held 1 to 2 pm prior to the service. Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Unadilla .The family request that contributions be made to the Unadilla Fire Department Emergency Squad.
