Christine Eden West. 59 of Guilford passed away on Wed. June 15, 2022.   She was the daughter of John & Margaret (Hiscott) West.  She is survived by her wife, Eileen M. Reynolds, Guilford, brothers, John West and Robert (Julie) West, two nephews, Christopher & Nate West, a niece, Alexandria West and many cousins.  She was predeceased by a niece, Gabby West and two special aunts, Millie Stovall and Sue Ann Champion.

She was a graduate of SUNY Canton in Mortuary Science.  Her work in grief led her to continue her education with a degree in Psychology at Keuka College and a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Rochester.  It was her belief that unresolved grief and the resulting trauma was a major cause of mental health issues and addiction.  Christine was an active listener, a steadfast friend, a caring mom to each pet, a sensitive soul who got a final bad deal, and a wife who kept her girl on her toes. 

Memorial Services will be held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church 1 Church Street Bainbridge on Tues. June 28, 2022 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Rebecca Drebert, Rector will officiate.  The family will receive friends at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on Tues. June 28, 2022 from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to service.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Girls Scouts of America, American Heart Assoc. or World Central Kitchen.  Online condolences may be made at:   www.wmaddenfh.com.  Arrangements by the Westcott-Madden Funeral Home 123 Main Street Unadilla.
