Otego: Carlton R. Kiraly passed away Tues. evening Sept. 15, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on Feb. 11, 1925 in Kingston, NY and was the son of Andrew & Maude (Hill) Kiraly. He was predeceased by his first wife, Florence Kiraly and his second wife, Jean Kiraly. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Kiraly, Otego, 2 children and their family: Andrew & Mariane Kiraly, Franklin, Janice & Michael Hall, Delhi, his stepchildren, Melanie Amirault, Ballston Spa, Michael & Patricia Maben, Oneonta, Jeffrey & Caroline Maben, Scotia, Julie & Howard Kunz, Porter Corners, his grandchildren, Ian, Timothy, Alison, Tiffany, Christina, Winfield, Abby, Noah, Brittany, Mathilda, Lance and Charlotte and also nieces and nephews. He was a retired farmer and was awarded Conservation Farmer of the Year in 1969. He was a US Army Veteran of WW II and was a former School Bus driver for 35 years for Franklin Schools. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Franklin and an avid dancer, golfer, fisherman, bowler, entertainer and wood cutter.
Memorial Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Franklin on Sat. at 11a.m. Rev. John Hill, Pastor and Rev. Lyle Linder will co-officiate. Burial will be in Ouleout Valley Cemetery, Franklin at the convenience of the family.
