Bernice G. (Goodrich) Daley

On Wednesday Dec. 7, 2022, Bernice Goodrich Daley, our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother passed away at the age of 101.

Bernice was born to Dewey and Gladys Goodrich on February 19, 1921.  She was one of six children.  She married William Daley on April 5, 1946.  Together they raised 5 daughters and 1 son.

Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, William, her son William Jr. and 2 siblings, Ralph and Leonard Goodrich and son-in-law, James Winchester.

Bernice is survived by her 5 daughters: Darlene Winchester, Diane (Dean) Pitcher, Deirdre (James) Hamilton, Dawn (Rhett) Hill and Donna (Steve) Thurston.  Also many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren who meant the world to her.  She is also survived by two sisters, Beatrice Darlin, Jeanette Currie and 1 brother, William (Betsy) Goodrich.

Bernice was involved in many organizations including Eastern Star and Wells Bridge Fireman’s Auxiliary.  She was also a member of the Sand Hill United Methodist Church.

Bernice was an avid bowler for many years and retired from bowling at the age of 98.  She is also known for her cake painting which her family and friends enjoyed.  We were fortunate to have had her in our lives for so many years.

Services will be announced at a later date.  Burial will be in Sand Hill Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to: Sand Hill United Methodist Church 127 Sand Hill Rd.
