Albert C. Nichols, 94 of Unadilla passed away on Feb. 21, 2018 at Chestnut Park Nursing Home.  He was born on Nov. 7, 1923 in Beerston, the son of George & Ann (Notage) Nichols.  Albert enlisted in the US Navy in 1943 and served during WW Ii in Dunkenville, England.  He was an arial photographer 2nd Class, looking for enemy submarines.  Before service, he worked for Crawford Browers and later Checker Brand.  He retired from Bendix Corp. after 25 years.  He is better known for his excavating business with Big Blue.  He was a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, Unadilla and the VFW.  Al is survived by his sons, Albert, FL., his daughter, Myra, GA, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
