Of Franklin

Augusta Louise Ross, 94 of Franklin & longtime Delaware County resident passed away on Tues. July 22, 2014 at A.O. Fox Nursing Home.  She was born in Grahamsville, NY on March 1, 1920 & was the daughter of the late, William Banks & Edna Stickle.  Augusta married Raymond Ross on Oct. 17, 1936 in Unadilla.  They were married for 70 years.  She lived on the Ross Family Farm on County Hwy. 21 for a short time.  She then moved to Treadwell for a short time and then bought a house in Franklin where they lived for 62 years.  Augusta worked for a short time at Mrs. Jones Nursing Home in Oneonta as a LPN.  She loved to crochet doylies, her specialty was pansies.  Augusta is survived by her sons & daughter-in-law, William F. Ross, Franklin, Daniel R. Ross, Wells Bridge, Stephen & April Ross, Franklin, her grandchildren, Christopher Ross, Franklin, Aaron Ross, Alberta, Canada, Andrew Ross, Unadilla, great grandchildren, Zachary Ross, Aiden Ross, Carter Ross, Chasity, Trinity & Joseph Ross.  She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond, brothers, Fred, Lester, Percy & Howard Banks, sisters, Flosie Ward, Annabell Dickinson, Ada Knutt & Alice Wood.

Funeral Service will be held at the Westcott-Madden Funeral Home 123 Main Street Unadilla on Mon. at 1 p.m.  Burial will be in Beaverkill Cemetery (Sullivan County) on Tues. at 11:30 a.m.  The family will recieve friends at the Westcott-Madden Funeral Home on Mon. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Franklin Emergency Squad.  The family wishes to thank A.O.
