Harold William Washburn Jr.
Harold (Butch) passed away on January 10, 2018 in Port Richie, FL. Butch was born on June 15, 1951 to Harold (Steve) and Ruth (White) Washburn in Sidney, NY. He attended Sidney Schools graduating in 1970. He attended college in Delhi. He also worked at Bendix. Butch was interested in culinary arts. He learned while working with the team of Stan Blum at Catskill resorts such as Grossingers, Concord, and resorts in Miami FL. Butch moved to Miami Beach in 1977, he also lived in Holiday, FL. He continued culinary schooling and worked for the food service for Pasco Co. School District for 20 years. He then moved to Port Richey, Florida. Butch is survived by his longtime partner Jim Fischer. He also has a brother James and wife Sandra their children Susan and (Edward) McHenry, Penny and (Bill) Saunders, Kay and (Chris) Currie, and Steven Washburn (Jennifer Hall) and a sister Janet and her husband Glenn Jacob and their children Matthew Suttle and (Kathy), Audrey Badger (Merl), Dianna Thorton (Patrick), and Ruth Jacob-Hardage (Daniel), plus 12 great nieces and nephews.
On June 4, 2018 a Memorial Service and a Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Evergreen Hill Cemetery Unadilla NY. A luncheon will follow at Bobs Dinner in Bainbridge.
