Hiro Matsuhara Kaseguma, 91, of Unadilla, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at her home.  She was born near Hiroshima, Japan and came to the United States in 1954. Starting out sewing piecework, she became an accomplished fashion designer in the New York City area before moving to Unadilla in 1961.  She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and a paragon of health for most of her life. She was well known for her delicious cooking and daily exercise walks at her home of over 50 years on Buck Horn Lake, walking miles a day even in her late 80s.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert, her children Jan Jaffe, Suda Kaseguma Handelman, and Rick Kaseguma, and grandchildren Max Handelman and Guy Pillon. She was predeceased by her daughter Gale Kaseguma (Pillon) in 2009.
