William John Katalinas Sr. died December 25, 2016. He was born Dec. 3, 1951 in Shamokin, PA. Bill was the son  Malcolm & Edna Crawson of Long Eddy (and John Katalinas), He was predeceased by his Dad, Malcolm; Grandmothers: Mae Crawson and Gertrude Cox, Aunts  & Uncles: Bert & Elaine Cox, Paul & Betty Cox, and Lester Quick and his Cousin B.J. He is survived by his Mother, Edna of Long Eddy, his children: Paula, Sheri, Charles, Jason, Billy Jr., Shane, Tyler & Blaze; numerous grandchildren; Siblings: Lucy Darcelin, Mac Crawson, Jr., Sue Crawson-Brizzolara (Dan), Timothy (Kelly) Crawson, and numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. He served in the Army from 1969 - 1972, in Vietnam from 1971 to 1972. During this time he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal W/2 Stars and the Vietnam Campaign Medal W/60 Device. As an adult Bill lived in many locations in New York, including Hancock, Deposit, Rockford and Unadilla, and numerous states including Washington and Texas. He was a laborer with numerous occupations, including carnival worker, farm worker, stone dock and logging. Bill was a unique character, known far and wide from his travels and his antics. He will be missed by his family and friends. A private family memorial is planned, with burial at a later time.
