Of Unadilla

Lester J. Constable, 82 of Unadilla passed away Thursday morning Sept. 29, 2016 at his home.  He was born on March 6, 1934 in Franklin, NY to the late Harper & Edna (Cole) Constable. He was predeceased by his former wives, Joanna (Dicks) Constable and Edna ((Reynolds) Constable.  He is survived by his wife, Mary P. Constable, Unadilla,, 3 children and their families, Sandra (Michael) Barse, Unadilla, Jeffrey (Cynthia) Constable, Tex., Kevin (Amanda) Constable, Illinois, step children, Phillip Constable, Unadilla, David (Sandi) Constable, VA., Keith (Chrissy) Constable, Altoona, NY, Lorraine “Lori” Constable Thurston, Unadilla, too numerous to mention grandchildren, several great grandchildren, his siblings, Gordon (Bobbi Jo) Constable, AZ., Shirley (George) Harris, Masonville and also several nieces and nephews.  He was also predeceased by other siblings, Harper “Dick” Constable, Phyllis Shumeyer, Robert W. Constable and Roger Constable.  Lester was the owner of L.J. Plumbing and Heating.  He was a lifetime member of the Unadilla Rod and Gun Club, Moose Lodge and enjoyed coffee at the Long River Inn every morning.  He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.  He was always willing to help those in need.
