My family would often visit Uncle Howard and Aunt Ellen, until we moved to NH. We lost touch. Then a few years back John and Debbie surprise me at my door. We had a great visit when we went to their house a couple of years ago. I will miss you John!!!
RIP Cuz!!! Love Margret

I met John through my husband Bobby Southard who grew up with John and his family. They always had so many funny stories to share. We played golf together and had many great times. Debbie then became part our lives as well. I will miss him and all that we shared. God speed my friend.

I was one of the lucky people to have known John for a true lifetime. We met when he became a member of the boy scout troop 303, of which my mom ( Iris) was the den mother. We did all the forbidden things that are not allowed today (drink from the garden hose, play army, race go carts in the street, build train sets, travel on our bikes for miles,, we made underground forts, climbed trees, rebuilt car engines and played and played until we were so tired we had to go home because the street lights went on . When his sister was born his parents allowed us to baby sit for her ( which has made her the strong woman she is today). His father let us play on the buses at the Garden City School bus and his mom was the ever present sign of discipline, especially when she wore her crossing guard uniform. John will be missed but always remembered. Until we meet again my friend! Bobby
