Dorothy S. Westcott, 92 of Wells Bridge passed away Mon. evening May 1, 2017 at A.O. Fox Memorial Nursing Home.  Born in Franklin, NY on July 2, 1924, the daughter of the late Clifford and Mildred (Miller) Sisson, Dorothy graduated from Otego High School in 1942.  She married Frank H. Westcott on Dec. 5, 1943 in Oxford, NY, a marriage that lasted almost 60 years before Frank passed away in 2003.  For many years, a resident of Stamford, NY, where she worked as a cashier in Victory Markets, Dorothy later moved with Frank to Wells Bridge.  A talented seamstress and good cook, she enjoyed spending time with her family.  She was a long-time member of Main Street Baptist Church in Oneonta and later joined Faith Bible Church in Oxford and Wells Bridge Baptist Church.  She also attended River Street Baptist Church in Oneonta.  After retirement, Dorothy and Frank often visited Florida and the Grand Ol’Oprey in Nashville.  Dorothy belonged to the Stamford-Harpersfield Senior Citizens and the Wells Bridge Happytime Senior Citizens and part of the Jolly 9.  She and Frank volunteered at the Stamford Community Hospital snack shop.  Dorothy is survived by her four children:  Sharon (David) Rausch of Wells Bridge, NY; Judith (Fred) Miller of Moravia, NY; Pastor Frank C. (Beth) Westcott of Oneonta, NY; Mark (Joanne) Westcott of Greene, NY.  Her grandchildren are:  Melissa (James) Neild; David (Heather) Rausch; Amy (Chris) Larkin; Heather (Timothy) Stone; Clifford (Heather Lynne) Westcott; Alicia (Reagan) Lynch; Chad (Kelly) Westcott; Logan (Holly) Westcott. Her grandson, Daniel (Shannon) Miller passed away in 2015 and most recently her great grandson, Rylen Lynch.  She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, her sister, Louise (Percy) Thompson of Mansfield, Georgia and also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at the Westcott-Madden Funeral Home 123 Main Street Unadilla on Friday at 1 p.m.  Pastor Frank C. Westcott, her son will officiate.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Otego.  The family will receive friends at the Westcott-Madden Funeral Home on Fri. 12 noon to 1 p.m. prior to service.  On-lines condolences may be made at:    www.wmaddenfh.com.
